Support to overturn Roe v. Wade has gained in popularity, according to a new poll.

The Harvard-Harris poll showed an increase of three percent to overturn the abortion on demand precedent.

“While 49 percent of Americans support the overturn, and 51 percent oppose, support has increased three percent since November 2021 and opposition has decreased three percent. In that time, a draft opinion was leaked from the Supreme Court signaling the complete overturn of the decision,” Breitbart News reported.

“When broken down along partisan lines, Democrats and Republicans mirror each other exactly, with 65 percent of Republicans and 35 percent of Democrats supporting the overturn, while 65 percent of Democrats and 35 percent of Republicans oppose. However, a majority of independents oppose the overturn at 53 percent, while 47 percent support it,” it added.

A new Harvard/Harris poll finds more Americans want the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade now than did back in November.

The news comes as the country awaits the ruling in a Supreme Court case that could return decisions about abortion laws to the states.

If so, many pro-life states will strongly restrict more abortions, while those who oppose are expected to protest and legally challenge the decision.
