DeSantis claims federal gov shortages of monoclonal antibodies is becoming deadly

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis said on Monday that the federal government is not providing the state the monoclonal antibody treatments needed and that the lack of supply is becoming deadly.

DeSantis shared the remarks during a Monday episode of Fox News’s “Hannity.”

“I think with the monoclonals, that is absolutely leading to people dying. Because we saw when we put in our sites this summer in Florida to deal with the Delta wave, we kept tens of thousands of people out of the hospital. We saved thousands of lives by providing that treatment,” DeSantis said.

“So, that should have been replicated in all these other states, but instead, what Biden and his cronies have done, they’ve seized control of all the monoclonal antibodies,” he added.

During the interview, DeSantis also blasted claims about New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez visiting Florida.

“If I Had a Dollar for Every Lockdown Politician Who Escaped to Florida, I’d Be Pretty Wealthy,” DeSantis joked.

Joking aside, the treatments are important, yet the federal government is failing to respond, making the pandemic far worse.
