Dems look to cut taxes on wealthy blue state homeowners in latest deal update

House Democrats are looking to cut taxes on wealthy blue state homeowners through a repeal of a Trump-era reduction cap.

Democrat leaders from California, New York and other blue states have pressed for the end of the $10,000 cap that former President Donald Trump implemented to offset the cost of the provision.

After lacking the votes to pass Biden’s massive $3.5 trillion spending bill in the Senate, the latest package has been cut in half. Still, at $1.75 trillion, the legislation would potentially harm the nation’s economy for years into the future.

In addition, many controversial provisions remain. For example, a repeal of the Hyde Amendment, a long standing effort to keep American tax dollars from funding abortions, is still included.

Further, the current version includes amnesty for up to seven million illegal immigrants in the nation, funding an already ridiculous level of illegal immigration efforts that have allowed more than 1.3 million people to cross the border this year.

The move may help some wealthy blue state homeowners, but will not really help America Build Back Better.
