Democrats quietly admit Vice President Kamala Harris is a massive liability

Some Democrats are finally admitting that Vice President Kamala Harris is a political trainwreck and could hinder prospects for the 2024 presidential election, the Conservative Brief reported. The situation is bleak as she has failed to accomplish much, while President Joe Biden could be knocked out of the running due to his age.

Whispers from unnamed Democrats to the press reveal that many in her party are beginning to recognize the problem Harris has created. She has failed in every task she's been given and is wildly unpopular at a time when she may be needed most.

Biden's age and potential unfitness for a 2024 re-election campaign have left Democrats on shaky ground. Democratic fundraiser John Morgan believes Harris's spot as second in command will be “one of the most hard-hitting arguments against Biden.”

"It doesn’t take a genius to say, ‘Look, with his age, we have to really think about this,'" Morgan said. "I can’t think of one thing she’s done except stay out of the way and stand beside him at certain ceremonies."

There's also the old problem concerning well-founded rumors of the secret to her success. When she was just a young attorney, Harris was romantically connected to then-San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, a married man three decades older.

Whether it's a fair criticism or not, many have suggested Harris's political career was helped by this relationship. Coupled with her pick as vice president after Biden's promise to choose a black woman, Harris doesn't have much clout on her own.

"That is why she knifed Joe Biden in the debate with all the race nonsense, there was no reason to do that," conservative commentator Jesse Kelly said. "It’s the same reason she cackles like a dead hyena anytime she is asked an uncomfortable question."

Kelly went on to add that her connection to Willie Brown was also a political calculation. "Kamala Harris will do anything to get ahead."

Jacquelyn Bettadapur, head of Cobb County, Georgia, Democrats, has been at the forefront of predicting Democrat misfortunes and also sees the writing on the wall for Harris, the Washington Post reported. “People are poised to pounce on anything — any misstep, any gaffe, anything she says — and so she’s probably not getting the benefit of the doubt," Bettadapur said.

She added that many in Harris's party "don’t know enough about what she’s doing" and that "it doesn’t help that she’s not [that] adept as a communicator." Others in the party are concerned that they can no longer rely on Harris's novelty factor to make her a strong candidate for president, should the occasion arise.

“I think many Democrats have changed from a 2008 sentiment, or even the feeling in 2012 and 2016, which were about voting for aspiration,” Brady Quirk-Garvan, former Charleston County Democratic Party chairman, said. “Democrats at the moment — I don’t hear a lot of chatter about aspiration."

"I hear about what’s going to guarantee a win, what’s a certainty, what feels safe," Quirk-Garvan added. It seems the problem is that Harris is not solid enough to win on her own merits, nor is she an asset based on her intersectional bona fides.

There is no way to get around the problem the Democrats created for themselves by running the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020. Against former President Donald Trump as an opponent, Biden seemed a safe alternative.

Harris was touted as a historical pick, but her incompetence has been increasingly difficult to hide. Democrats are facing a much different race in 2024 with a disastrous president and laughable vice president -- and there's no sign it will get any better once the race begins in earnest.
