Democrat Representative Aaron Coleman arrested and charged with DUI

Politics has more than its fair share of hypocrites. Somehow, they’re more often on the Democratic side of the aisle.

Kansas Democrat State Representative Aaron Coleman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence only hours after demanding two other politicians’ resignations for the same crime, the Dan Bongino Show reported. What’s worse, the 21-year-old was already out on bond for an alleged prior assault.

In what the news outlet called a “self-own,” Coleman sent a series of tweets about fellow Democrats who have found themselves on the wrong side of the law the night before his own brush with police for the same alleged crime. The first tweet was sent in relation to the prison system and ended with him calling out state Rep. Brandon Woodward.

“The only solution is expelling Brandon Woodard for *two* counts of felony DUI,” Coleman tweeted at 8 p.m. on Friday. “And putting him in jail in Olathe for a night…”

Just minutes later, he went after another Democrat, state Rep. Vic Miller, for his November 2019 DUI. “Vic Miller. DUI while In office?… Very intrigued,” Coleman wrote.

However, it was just after 1 a.m. Saturday when Coleman himself would face the same charge that he’d just railed against his colleagues for. The young lawmaker was arrested by the Kansas State Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and was released on $250 bond, according to NBC News.

This arrest comes on the heels of another incident involving charges of battery of his family members on Oct. 30. According to legal filings, Coleman allegedly shoved, struck, and spat on his brother and made threats against his grandfather.

Perhaps Coleman was trying to deflect from his own conduct or simply attempting to take everyone down with him. Either way, if these allegations are true, this cohort of Democrats are a menace to society and a disgrace to their office — and Coleman has the added distinction of also being a hypocrite.
