Dem Rep wants every Republican who met with Jan. 6 organizers removed from Congress

Missouri Democratic Rep. Cori Bush said Monday during an interview on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that any Republican lawmakers who met with those involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol building riot should be expelled from Congress.

Bush was responding to a report from Rolling Stone Magazine that claimed to have information about several GOP leaders who held planning meetings with people involved in the riot.

Reid specifically asked about Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene being removed from the House.

“She should be expelled and any other Congress member, especially in the House,” Bush said.

“You know, the day of the insurrection, sitting barricaded in my office with my team, we put together a bill, HRS 25, to investigate and expel those members of Congress who participated in any way to overturn the election results and then also the actual insurrection,” she added.

Bush seemed to want any possible retribution on Republicans with connections to Jan. 6.

“They need to be investigated and expelled, and whatever else should happen to them, I’m all for it because they put the lives of people in danger, and they decided that this is something that they should do with the power of the White House,” Bush said.

The House select committee continues to meet to discuss the evidence, though its member are are clearly biased, with all members having previously voted to impeach former President Donald Trump.
