California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters told a group of people seeking housing vouchers to “go home” during a wild video recorded in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

“It’s a bunch of rumors,” Waters told the outlet. “You’ll hurt yourself and the community trying to put this together without background,” she warned.
“I don’t want you to start trying to write it, you won’t understand it,” she told the Times.

The chaotic scene looked bad for Waters and for the state as Democrats continue to shell out money for social programs yet continue to have some of the worst problems with homelessness in the nation.
