Even with the overturning of Roe v. Wade now officially in the books, thanks to the bombshell decision released on Friday by the U.S. Supreme Court, the country still hasn’t a clue as to who leaked the draft decision earlier this year that sparked a firestorm of controversy.
While there has been a long list of guesses as to who might have leaked it and why, Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) recently claimed that she believes another leak took place on Friday morning, saying during an MSNBC interview that she believes the high court “tipped off” pro-life protesters about the coming Dobbs decision, though she admitted she has absolutely “no evidence” to back the claim.
Her only “proof” to back her conspiracy theory, which is all it is, at best, is that she only noticed pro-life protesters at the SCOTUS building on Friday morning.
“I went over to the Supreme Court early, and the only people that were there were the protestors who were pro-birth, not pro-life, and I thought they had been tipped off.”
“I think they were tipped off. Because it was quite early. It was just right after the decision came out. We were voting on the floor. I thought I was just going to run over. And I thought, this is odd. There aren’t any pro-choice people here yet, and these folks were there,” Speier continued.
She added another false statement: “So, I do. I believe they were tipped off. I don’t have any evidence of that. But, more importantly, the Supreme Court now has become a weapon of the far-right.”
Many on social media pointed out that the pro-life people, who tend to be conservatives, are usually up bright and early, compared to their liberal counterparts, who sleep well into the day and tend to not have jobs.
Speier, a troublemaker herself, also made headlines after the ruling during another interview in which she clearly instructed MSNBC viewers to “armor up,” adding that she believes “there is a war out there,” joining a number of other radical, mentally unstable Democrats who’ve openly called for violence in the street because they didn’t get their way.
