Hudson Institute Senior Fellow David Asher said on Thursday that there was “almost no evidence” for COVID-19 originating naturally, according to Breitbart News.
Asher, who was part of the Trump administration’s team of experts investigating the origins of the COVID-19 virus, made his comments on Fox News Channel’s “America Reports.”
The research group, however, hasn’t had a chance to finish their work as they were shut down by the Biden administration shortly after President Joe Biden was installed in the White House.
According to Asher, however, it is believed that everything discovered about the virus pointed to it originating from “a lab or some supernatural source.”
“Well, we were finding that despite the claims of our scientific community, including the National Institutes of Health and Dr. Fauci’s NIAID organization, that there was almost no evidence that supported a natural, zoonotic evolution or source of COVID-19. …” the researcher said during his interview.
“[T]he data disproportionately stacked up as we investigated that it was coming out of a lab or some supernatural source.”
Questions about the source of the virus have been prevalent since its appearance late in 2019.
While it was initially believed that the virus originated from a “wet market” in the Chinese province of Wuhan, that theory didn’t rule out the possibility that it was man-made.
The several theories about how the virus made it out into the world included that there was a problem with waste management at the lab, that a worker took animals that were used for testing and sold them at the market, and of course that the virus was intentionally distributed to support some nefarious political goal.
