Court to take on challenge of Biden COVID-19 vaccine mandate

The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals is scheduled to hear a legal challenge to President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for companies with 100 or more employees.

The rule was set to be effective on Jan. 4, 2022. The decision was then blocked through a temporary injunction by the First Circuit Court.

The 6th Circuit Court will determine whether to continue the previous court’s ruling or side with the Biden administration.

The new rule would require larger companies to require a COVID-19 vaccine or a weekly testing. Heavy fines of thousands of dollars per violation are also included in the requirement.

Several lawsuits have challenged the new measure. “The Republican National Committee is committed to fighting this egregious overreach every step of the way and has already filed a federal lawsuit to stop this unconstitutional decree,” GOP National Committee leader Ronna McDaniel said regarding their lawsuit.

The court ruling will either come as a Christmas gift for those opposed to the vaccine mandate or will come as Grinch Who Stole Christmas if it rules in favor of the Biden administration.
