Family dramas unfold privately in households all across the U.S. However, when it’s happening at the home of a government official — and involves illegal conduct — the public has a right to know.
Police were called to the home of Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx for a domestic disturbance for the second time in a week, Breitbart reported. This is the same Illinois official who released violent criminals after being re-elected in 2020, thanks to a $2 million boost from leftist billionaire Geroge Soros.
On June 4, police were called to the Foxx residence in Flossmoor, Illinois, by Kelley Foxx, Kim Foxx’s husband. Kelley told police that Kim had slapped him, threw a video game controller, and grabbed him by the collar.
This latest incident on June 11 involved Kelly and daughter Kai in a “domestic disturbance” in their home located about 28 miles outside of Chicago. According to the police report, the dispute began when Kelley had taken his daughter’s car keys “as a matter of parental discipline.”
Kelley claimed he tried to then leave but was prevented from doing so after Kai sat in his vehicle. When officers arrived, Kai was no longer in his vehicle, but both father and daughter admitted to having a disagreement.
The report also stated that police found no evidence of a “bona fide incident of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.” Though it seems there were no allegations of violence this time, this incident still speaks to the conditions in the Foxx household.
This is noteworthy considering that Foxx was notoriously easy on criminals, having dropped the felony cases of 25,000 individuals, Fox News reported. Some of those cases involved murder, but Foxx has let off nearly a third of felony defendants in her tenure from 2016 to 2019.
It’s a sad fact that the Foxx family seems to be in utter turmoil. However, Foxx has contributed to the turmoil in her own jurisdiction and among many families likely impacted by her soft-on-crime approach.
