Bill Barr says DOJ has not yet found large-scale election fraud, investigation continues

In the weeks since the November 3 election, many high-profile conservatives and countless supporters of President Donald Trump have inquired as to where U.S. Attorney General William Barr was at in the ongoing investigations into allegations of widespread voter and ballot fraud in the 2020 election.

Those people received the answer to that question on Tuesday, as according to The Blaze, Barr’s U.S. Department of Justice released a bombshell statement in which they claimed that after investigating credible claims of voter fraud, they were unable to determine that it took place on a scale that could have changed the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Roughly a week after election night in early November, Barr authorized the DOJ to investigate “substantial allegations” of voter and ballot fraud. Investigators taking part in the process were also instructed to essentially ignore “specious, speculative, fanciful or far-fetched claims.”

A result of those investigations, some three weeks later, haven’t turned up the evidence needed to affect meaningful change in the outcome of the 2020 election, though Trump’s legal teams and other independent lawyers continue to attempt to prove otherwise.

“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election,” Barr said.

According to The Epoch Times, there’s still hope for Trump’s campaign and his tens of millions of American supporters, as the DOJ was careful to note that the investigations have not yet concluded.

“Some media outlets have incorrectly reported that the DOJ has concluded its investigation of election fraud and announced an affirmative finding of no fraud in the election. That is not what the Associated Press reported nor what the Attorney General stated,” a spokesperson for the DOJ said on Tuesday.

They went on to assure anyone with concerns that the DOJ would continue to investigate valid claims of election-related fraud.

Though many in the mainstream media were a little quick on the draw to report that the DOJ failed to discover any widespread fraud, it’s clear that this fight is still far from over and with the way 2020 has unfolded, anything is possible in the coming weeks.
