Biden’s Supreme Court nominee accused of letting ‘child porn offenders’ off easy

Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley shared his concerns regarding President Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, saying she has “a pattern of letting child porn offenders off the hook.”

Hawley shared the concerns in a series of Twitter posts noting some of Jackson’s past efforts in the area.

“As far back as her time in law school, Judge Jackson has questioned making convicts register as sex offenders – saying it leads to ‘stigmatization and ostracism,'” Hawley tweeted.

“She’s suggested public policy is driven by a ‘climate of fear, hatred & revenge’ against sex offenders,” he added.

“In every single child porn case for which we can find records, Judge Jackson deviated from the federal sentencing guidelines in favor of child porn offenders,” Hawley concluded.

The new information comes following Hawley’s meeting with Brown and ahead of her Senate hearings later this month. The topic is certain to return, with Hawley likely taking the lead to address the concerning issue.
