Biden's student loan bailout program not popular with half of the country

President Joe Biden conveniently tossed $10k towards federally-backed student loans to a demographic with which he polls poorly, just weeks out from a major midterm election that his side is set to lose.

According to Breitbart, the results of a new The Economist/YouGov survey revealed that at least half of Americans do not believe the program is fair, specifically for those who didn't attend college for whatever reason.

The outlet noted: "According to the survey, 51 percent support it, and 34 percent of those do so 'strongly.' Meanwhile, 40 percent oppose it, and another nine percent remain unsure."

Many have criticized the idea of having to bail out Americans who made poor choices in obtaining useless degrees from overpriced universities and colleges while millions of Americans never had the financial means to attend in the first place. Also, those who scrimped and saved to pay their way through college aren't happy, either.

"Democrats are far more likely to support Biden's plan than Republicans, and independents remain relatively split, as 44 percent support it and 42 percent oppose," Breitbart added.

Only 44% believe the program will help the American economy, and other 40% of respondents believe it will not help the economy. The Biden administration has insisted that such debt reduction will spur key industries, such as housing and small business creation.

The Twitter account of President Joe Biden recently posted a controversial tweet that showed a screenshot of a message reportedly received by someone thanking him for the program. Many believed it was a fake.

The Biden administration has been taken to task by all sides of the media on how it plans to pay for the program. It has responded by saying the deficit reductions that have been made under Biden would cover the costs, but then they admit that they have no idea how much the program will cost until people take advantage of it. What a clown show.
