Biden's chief climate adviser Gina McCarthy set to leave next week

President Joe Biden's administration is a sinking ship. One high-profile resignation is about to shake up the White House.

Gina McCarthy, Biden's chief climate adviser, will leave her position next week, the Daily Caller reported. Deputy White House National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi will replace the 68-year-old who was instrumental in crafting Biden's radical climate agenda.

"Under Gina McCarthy and Ali Zaidi's leadership, my administration has taken the most aggressive action ever, from historic legislation to bold executive actions, to confront the climate crisis head-on," Biden said in a statement. "The Inflation Reduction Act is the biggest step forward on clean energy and climate in history, and it paves the way for additional steps we will take to meet our clean energy and climate goals," he claimed.

No official reason for McCarthy's exit was released. However, she had not expected to stay for his full term, and the grueling travel schedule reportedly proved to be too much pressure for the aging official.

During her tenure, McCarthy had put together the $369 billion climate deal together that included investments in money pits like green energy and nebulous "environmental justice" initiatives. She reportedly claimed the bill would spark "transformational change" as she pushed for the move away from fossil fuels.

McCarthy was instrumental in the Biden administration's push to halve the 2005 carbon emission rate by the year 2030 with an eye toward zero emissions by 2050. Prior to that, she spent four years at the Environmental Protection Agency under former president Barack Obama.

There's no word where she'll land, but McCarthy has extensive advisory experience. She is a sustainability investment adviser for the private equity firm Pegasus Capital Advisors and has served as director and board chair at the Center for Climate, Health and the Global Environment at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Biden has been an abject failure on every front. Now he's left without McCarthy just as his radical climate agenda push is ramping up.
