President Joe Biden took office in January with high approval ratings and a historic number of votes. However, his most recent blunders have had a significant impact on his approval ratings indicating that the honeymoon may be over.
Biden is slipping in his approval ratings, most notably losing ground among Democrats, Breitbart reported. A Rassmussen Reports poll tracked his slide in approval since career highs in May and June falling off following his handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Biden’s approval has continued to trend downward after the Taliban took Kabul, especially with Democrats, though he had a slight uptick in approval on Friday. Still, the public’s overall dissatisfaction was revealed in his -21 overall approval index.
Other polls reported similar findings that Biden is in trouble with Americans of all political stripes. The RealClearPolitics average pegged the president’s approval at 47.4% while 48.4% disapproved of the job he’s doing.
After the president began withdrawing U.S. forces to make good on the promise to end the war, conditions in Afghanistan became precarious, according to CNN. National security advisors are now warning that more terrorist attacks may be imminent, and with the military packing up and leaving, there won’t be much America can do to stop it.
Although the establishment media had been propping Biden up long before he was even elected, the burgeoning crisis in Afghanistan is one mistake they’re no longer able or willing to cover for. When 13 U.S. service members were killed in a terror attack outside the Kabul airport Thursday, Biden was roundly criticized.
Biden tried to blame former President Donald Trump during his remarks following the attack. “But here’s the deal: You know — I wish you’d one day say these things — you know as well as I do that the former President made a deal with the Taliban that he would get all American forces out of Afghanistan by May 1,” Biden claimed. “In return, the commitment was made — and that was a year before — in return, he was given a commitment that the Taliban would continue to attack others, but would not attack any American forces.”
Unfortunately for Biden, it’s clear this problem can be laid directly at his feet since it was under his watch and direction that all American troops were set to leave by Aug. 31. Despite his attempts to deflect, the recent polling proves that even Democrats are on to him.
