Biden’s 2020 campaign manager leaving office ahead of midterms

White House communications director Kate Bedingfield is leaving her role ahead of the November midterms.

Bedingfield has served with President Joe Biden since his term as vice president under former President Barack Obama.

“She has played a huge role in everything the President has achieved โ€“ from his second term as Vice President, through the campaign, and since coming to the White House,” Biden’s Chief of Staff Ron Klain said in a statement.

“Without Kate Bedingfield’s talent and tenacity, Donald Trump might still be in the White House, the Rescue Plan and the Infrastructure Law might still be unrealized goals, and Ketanji Brown Jackson might not be sitting on the Supreme Court,” he added.

The new move follows the departure of several key staffers, including press secretary Jen Psaki.

The changes don’t look good as Democrats near the November midterms, as many in the party grow concerned that Republicans could take back power in Congress.
