Joe Biden, who hopes the American people will elect him as the 46th president of the United States, shocked viewers on Friday by declaring that voters don’t “deserve” to hear his position on potentially packing the Supreme Court with liberal justices if he’s elected.
Biden has repeatedly refused to take a position on the controversial topic, even when asked point-blank. Usually, Biden simply steps around the question, but during a live virtual campaign event, Biden revealed his true thoughts on the matter.
KTLV anchor Ross DiMattei told Biden:
Sir, I’ve got to ask you about packing the courts and I know you said yesterday you aren’t going to answer the question until after the election, but this is the number one thing that I’ve been asking about from viewers in the past couple of days.
Biden responded abruptly: “Well, you’ve been asked by the viewers who are probably Republicans who don’t support me continuing to talk about what they’re doing to the court right now.” DiMattei interjected, “Well sir, don’t the voters deserve to know—” before Biden cut him off by saying with finality. “no, they don’t.”
Both Harris and Biden have openly admitted to being less than transparent on the hot-button issue, telling reporters and pundits at various times that they won’t answer the question because it would “distract” from the issues at hand.
Harris and Biden have made it very clear that this election is not about the issues, it’s about Donald Trump. The pair is telling the American people to vote for them solely due to the fact that they’re not Trump.
When it comes to the issues, they hedge and obfuscate because their true policy positions are far too left for the majority of American voters.
According to a YouGov/Washington Examiner poll conducted this week, 47 percent of Americans reject the idea of expanding the court, and only 34 percent support the idea.
Of those 34 percent, only 11 percent support packing the courts with liberal justices, with the remaining supporters wishing for the appointments to be more balanced. Is Biden refusing to provide a real answer because it’s “distracting” or is it because he knows even his own constituents won’t support his radical ideas on the matter?
