Biden trying to protect Republicans who voted in favor of the infrastructure bill

President Joe Biden is attempting to shield Republicans who voted for his infrastructure bill from repercussions from their own party after word got out that other RNC members are considering retribution.

According to Breitbart News, House Republicans are contemplating stripping the committee chairmanship from any Republicans who voted in favor of the monstrous infrastructure bill on Friday.

“I’ve never seen it like this before. It’s got to stop for the sake of America,” Biden said about Republicans attempt to keep their own party members from breaking ranks.

According to a report in Punchbowl News, there were 13 Republican lawmakers that voted in support of Biden’s agenda, including Rep. John Katko (R-NY), the ranking Republican member on the Homeland Security Committee.

Katko also voted to impeach President Donald Trump and to create the independent commission to investigate the riots on Capitol Hill on January 6th and to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committee assignments.

Biden, however, took exception to the party’s frustration, saying during a Virtual Grassroots event for the Democrat National Committee on Tuesday that eh appreciated the Republicans that generated a “consensus” with Democrats, demanding that they keep their chairmanships.

“[T]he very people who voted for it initially — because it looked like the Democrats were going to be given credit for something — are now being threatened with their chairmanships,” he said. “It’s just not right. We’re going to change it though.”

The president took the opportunity to demand “more civility in politics” going on to say, “I really mean it. And I’ve never seen it this way.”

Republicans, however, seem bent on making sure their party is not harboring any representatives in positions of power that lean too far to the left. While it’s understandable why the Biden Administration would consider them an asset, their co-workers seem ready to cut ties and allow more acceptable replacements to take the reigns of power.
