Biden stepping down in 2024 inevitable, Democrats struggling with replacing disastrous Vice President Kamala Harris

President Joe Biden is losing his mental acuity and becoming increasingly unpopular as the 2024 presidential election comes into view. Meanwhile, the next in line for his job is even worse -- and they can't do a thing about it.

Democrats' hands are tied as Biden may not be able to run in 2024, leaving Vice President Kamala Harris as their nominee, Joseph Curl of the Daily Wire reported. Harris is awful in her own right, but replacing her would elicit cries of sexism and racism, which would be a disaster.

"Ever since Kamala Harris joined the 2020 Democratic presidential ticket, top members of the party have been trying to figure out what to do with her in 2024 (or 2028 at the latest)," Curl wrote. Her approval numbers "cratered" not long after Biden took office and have "never rebounded," Curl pointed out.

This has opened the door for other Democrats like California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who claimed that if Biden did not seek re-election in 2024, he'd be a shoo-in. However, successfully pushing Harris aside is risky business.

"Democrats are all about identity politics — and Harris is both female and part black," Curl pointed out. "So how can anyone challenge her without seeming like a racist misogynist?"

Still, Democrats have to contend with several problems with Harris, not the least of which is her unpopularity. "Early on, Harris plunged to a 28% approval rating in one poll, the lowest in modern history," Curl said.

Harris has also had high turnover among her staff which suggests a volatile work environment even close to home. Moreover, her relationship with the president is strained.

"When she got COVID back in late April, the White House was forced to admit that Biden wasn't in any danger because the two weren't 'close contacts,'" Curl mentioned. There were even rumors that Biden would nominate Harris for the Supreme Court just to get rid of her.

The vice president should be the next logical nominee for the party, whether in 2024 or even 2028 if Biden manages to make it through. However, she is damaging for the party and its future electoral prospects -- but Democrats are simply stuck with her.
