Biden says not to treat fellow American as enemies after blasting half the nation in recent speech

President Joe Biden encouraged Americans not to treat one another as enemies after a recent speech referring to half of Americans as extremists.

The new speech was an attempt to be less angry than his previous attempt, which angered many listeners.

"We know this. Hate-fueled violence is born in the fertile soil of a toxic division," he said, adding, "We have to confront the ways in which our toxic division fuels this crisis for all of us. Our differences."

"Certainly don't turn a fellow American into a sworn enemy," he added.

Biden's recent fiery words ahead of 9/11 and the midterm elections labeled Trump supporters as the problem in the nation. Those who want to "Make America Great Again" are Biden's opponents, though he now wants to lecture the nation over being more united.

The attempt was unlikely to change the minds of many of those he has already blasted in previous remarks, showing that the president who has pushed for unity has actually led to more division.
