The Biden administration’s Health and Human Services agency just reversed a Trump-era policy of prohibiting taxpayer funds to family planning clinics that refers clients for abortion — a huge blow to pro-life advocates.
“This rule is a step forward for family planning care as it aims to strengthen and restore our nation’s Title X program,” HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said in a statement.
“Our nation’s family planning clinics play a critical role in delivering health care, and today more than ever, we are making clear that access to quality family planning care includes accurate information and referrals—based on a patient’s needs and direction,” he added.
The rule, effective Nov. 8, will complete a federal action President Joe Biden began during the week following his inauguration.
Work harder, middle class Americans…you’ve got other people’s abortions to pay for! https://t.co/WM7AuY3hKh

As expected, Planned Parenthood was thrilled at the announcement.
“Our health centers look forward to once again providing access to affordable, high-quality sexual & reproductive health care through this program. Thanks, @POTUS and everyone who organized to make this happen!” the abortion provider tweeted.

The Biden administration’s step makes it even more radical on abortion than the Obama administration. The move includes taxpayer dollars for abortions, with additional funding possible if the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion spending bill is passed.
