Biden puts staffers into ‘campaign mode’ for midterm elections

President Joe Biden has changed the prime directive for White House aides, according to a report by Breitbart News, shifting them into “campaign mode” ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.

The president has reportedly privately asked his aides to begin the process of pointing out differences between his policies and that of the Republican Party, according to Axios, who cited “people familiar with the conversations.”

Biden has taken his own advice and pushed his politically divisive rhetoric into overdrive, making sure voters know exactly what is at stake when they vote for his party in the upcoming election.

The president has accused Republicans of having a radical agenda that is out of touch with the middle class and launched “political attacks” against Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) as the chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Biden says that Scott is the leader of the radical “Ultra MAGA” Republicans who have seized control of the party, making it even worse than the previous Republican leaders.

“I think they’re the most extreme party and that’s what the Republican Party is now,” Biden said at a fundraiser on Wednesday night. “Not everybody Republican believes that. But the fact of the matter is, they run the show — the MAGA Republicans.”

Biden talked about his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, during a speech to union leaders in Chicago on Wednesday afternoon, calling out the “MAGA crowd” for attempting to “forget” the coronavirus pandemic: “I call it the ‘Ultra-MAGA’ plan — Make America Great Again plan,” he said. “It’s in writing.”

When speaking about his “plan” for lower inflation, he cited an agenda that included spending more federal tax dollars on social programs to snap the nation out of its degenerating economic condition: “This is about fairness, it’s about dignity, it’s about fiscal responsibility,” he said Wednesday.

It is as yet unclear if the frustration with Republicans is, in practice, due to how it will affect groups like the “middle class” or if it’s a loss of congeniality for their Democratic colleagues’ efforts to push the nation toward leftist policies and personal gain. The result, regardless, is a hyper-partisan environment that has largely disenfranchised moderates and caused gridlock on multiple occasions.
