Democrat nominee Joe Biden revealed in a Friday interview with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle that he believes Donald Trump will quit the White House without putting up a fight if he loses the election in November.
Democrats have been hysterically speculating and preparing for a scenario in which Donald Trump refuses to leave the White House if Joe Biden wins, but Biden appears to not be worried.
Biden also dismissed concerns about the integrity of the impending election, telling Ruhle that “I just think the people in the country are going to be heard on Nov. 3. Every vote in this country is going to be heard and they will not be stopped. I’m confident that all of the irresponsible, outrageous attacks on voting, we’ll have an election in this country as we always have had, and he’ll leave.”
President Trump has repeatedly confirmed that he will leave the White House if Democrats win without cheating, but has raised concerns for months that Democrats are scheming to steal the election via a number of shady tactics.
Trump said on Friday, “We’re going to win. We’re not going to lose this except if they cheat that’s the way I look at it. We can’t let them cheat. We can’t let them, it’s too much. Our country is at stake and it’s true … The only way we’re going to lose is if there’s mischief. Mischief, and it will have to be on a big scale so be careful.”
Mainstream media outlets, along with some of the more radical Democrat pundits and politicians, have floated the idea that Trump will disrupt the traditionally peaceful transfer of power if he loses, though Trump said this week that he would accept a Supreme Court ruling awarding the presidency to Biden if the election is contested.
Democrats, on the other hand, are openly agitating for Joe Biden to refuse to accept the results of the election. Failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton — who also did not accept the results of her bid — said in August:
Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances because I think this is going to drag out, and eventually I do believe he will win if we don’t give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is.
