The White House said on Thursday that President Joe Biden is not planning to visit Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv, despite recent visits by other national leaders.
Biden shared his readiness to go during a trip to North Carolina after a reporter asked whether he planned to visit the nation that had been invaded by Russia.

The White House later clarified to Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich that there are no current plans for Biden to go to Ukraine.

The news follows a surprise visit to Kyiv last week by U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Other national leaders have also visited Kyiv this week.
The report sounds more like a tough talk rather than a serious thought of Biden making the trip. He has traveled less than most previous presidents overall, making a trip to Ukraine highly unlikely.
