President Joe Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is under investigation after promoting an electric bus company while in office, despite being a board member of the company.
Granholm also owned more than 240,000 shares of stock in Proterra, earning herself more than $1.6 million when she divested months after her nomination as energy secretary.

The ethics committee complaint criticizes Granholm for promoting Proterra while in her executive leadership role in ways that favored her own financial gain.
The issue is also highlighted by the recent passing of the $1.2 trillion infrastructure package, largely supported by Democrats, that provides new funding of climate initiatives. Up to $45 billion has been set aside under the bill for zero-emission buses.
In addition, Breitbart News reported that the Center for Responsive Politics found 85 percent of Proterra’s campaign contributions went to Democrats, including the presidential campaign of Joe Biden.
Biden also just happened to tour Proterra’s Greenville, South Carolina, factory in April to support electric buses.
The ethics violation connections continue to pile up as Granholm faces scrutiny over her actions since taking office as energy secretary.
