Biden drops to 38 percent approval in latest Washington Post poll

President Joe Biden’s approval rating has dropped to 38 percent in the most recent poll by The Washington Post.

The left-leaning publication is generally favorable toward Biden and Democrats, but the latest report shows the president’s favor has fallen tremendously among Americans.

A whopping 57 percent disapprove of Biden’s leadership as president. Those who “strongly approve” include only 19 percent. Another 48 percent “strongly disapprove.”

Even among Democrats in the poll, just 41 percent approved of Biden’s leadership one year after the 2020 election.

The downward trend is not surprising. In his first months as president, Biden has become unpopular due to rising gas prices and inflation at home.

In addition, his failed military departure from Afghanistan that left hundreds of Americans left behind under Taliban rule served as a strong negative among all voters.

Biden’s open border policies have also led to frustrations among many Americans. With more than 1.3 million illegal immigrants crossing the southern border under his leadership, the nation is on track for two million illegal immigrants this year.

The trend is not a good sign for Democrats. With three years until the 2024 election, many on the left fear the situation could only get worse.
