Biden claims ghost gun restricts should be ‘the start’ of gun control

President Joe Biden announced plans to crack down on ghost guns on Monday, claiming the effort should be just the start of stronger gun controls across the nation.

Biden made the remarks during a speech in the Rose Garden outside of the White House on Monday.

“We need Congress to pass universal background checks,” Biden said in the Rose Garden on Monday. “And I know it’s controversial, but I got it done once: Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines,” the president said.

Biden also announced his desire to see more responsibility from gun makers.

“Gun manufacturers have more immunity from liability than any other American industry, so they have never had to take responsibility for the death and destruction their products cause,” the president added.

The words may sound strong from Biden, but the recommendations are not constitutional and are unlikely to move forward in Congress.
