Biden agrees with Republican governors, says ‘no federal solution’ to pandemic

President Joe Biden agreed with GOP governors during a call on the pandemic on Monday, stating there is “no federal solution” to stop the coronavirus.

“One word of concern or encouragement for your team is that as you look towards federal solutions that will help alleviate the challenge, make sure that we do not let federal solutions stand in the way of state solutions,” Arkansas Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson said.

“The production of 500 million rapid tests that will be distributed by the federal government is great, but obviously that dries up the supply chain for the solutions that we might offer as governor,” he added.

The message, however, rang hollow with many as Biden continues to pursue a large employer vaccine mandate to the Supreme Court.

The message is also a strong contrast with Biden’s message as a candidate to stop the virus. Instead, the president now reveals he has no real plan other than testing to deal with the pandemic.
