President Joe Biden said the Second Amendment is “not absolute” during the signing of a new police-related executive order on Wednesday.
Biden’s words came one day after a mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, that killed 19 students and two teachers before the 18-year-old shooter was killed.
President @JoeBiden opened his remarks announcing a police reform executive order by remembering the victims of the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting and calling on the Senate to confirm his nominee to run the ATF.

“To state the obvious: I’m sick and tired of what’s going on,” Biden said.
“The Second Amendment’s not absolute,” he added.

The statement is one of several made by Biden seeking tougher gun control restrictions across America. The reality, however, is that new gun laws generally punish law-abiding gun owners in ways those misusing gun laws would not follow.
The comment might make for a good soundbite but is not accurate nor helpful in stopping gun violence.
