Before his 2020 electoral victory, President Joe Biden was sold to the American people as a moderate. As it would turn out, he’s rabidly leftist on many issues — especially abortion.
Attorney General Merrick Garland has promised to protect providers and patients from the Texas “Heartbeat Act” that prohibits the murder of a baby once it has a detectable heartbeat, the Post Millennial reported. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to strike down the recently-passed law.
Biden’s attorney general promised to “provide support from federal law enforcement when an abortion clinic or reproductive health center is under attack.” This language is significant because the new law leaves it up to private citizens — not law enforcement — to turn in violators.
It’s also significant because the 1994 Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act greatly restricted pro-life protestors and concerned citizens from getting too close to clinics or their patients going in for abortions. It prohibits any interference whatsoever and thus can be broadly applied, allowing Garland to shield any violators.
“We have reached out to US attorneys’ offices and FBI field offices in Texas and across the country to discuss our enforcement authorities,” Garland said. “We will not tolerate violence against those seeking to obtain or provide reproductive health services, physical obstruction or property damage in violation of the FACE Act.”
The Texas law has taken a direct swipe at abortion rights and emboldened other states to follow suit, Fox News reported. The left is incensed about it claiming that because most babies have a heartbeat around by around six weeks, mothers won’t have a long enough window in which to kill their babies
Biden has personally been an outspoken opponent of the Texas law despite his supposed Roman Catholic faith. The president said in a statement that the White House is “deeply committed to the constitutional right established in Roe v. Wade nearly five decades ago and will protect and defend that right.”
The pro-abortion side has no regard for the children in the womb who will be murdered. Garland promises to protect the perpetrators instead of the vulnerable unborn babies while the Biden administration will stop at nothing to assure the right to kill remains codified in U.S. law — even as abortion is losing support among the American people.
