Biden admin blocks access to executive order on voting

The Biden administration is blocking attempts to investigate a 2021 executive order signed by the president to direct executive agencies to develop plans to promote voter registration and participation.

Republican lawmakers claim they have had trouble getting any answers to questions regarding the order.

“It’s disappointing, yet not surprising, that the Biden Administration doesn’t have answers to our straightforward questions,” said Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL), the ranking member of the Committee on House Administration.

“The bottom line is that we support every eligible American registering to vote. But these federal agencies don’t have the legal authority to go outside the scope of their missions to conduct political activities, and now that they’ve been called out for trying to do so, they are scrambling to explain their actions,” he added.

The House Admin. Committee GOP noted that “federal agencies don’t have the legal authority to go outside the scope of their missions to conduct political activities like the Biden Admin directed them to do.

The new report shows the ongoing contrast between the Biden admin’s claims and actions as the order seems to have led to no new changes to help American elections.

You should always have a voter ID to vote in this country. You need it for everything else.
