Australian military rounding up those exposed to COVID-19 and putting them in quarantine camps

Australia is the sight of what many have believed would only exist in a dystopian future as the Australian Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner has begun to transfer those who have been “close contacts” of the COVID-19 positive into quarantine camps via army trucks.

Gunnar proudly announced that 38 individuals have been transferred to the camps, according to Breitbart News

Last night we took an urgent action to escalate our response in these communities, immediately implementing a hard lockdown. That means residents of Binjari and Rockhole no longer have the five reasons to leave their home. They can only leave for medical treatment, in an emergency or if required by law. Yes, these are strong measures but the threat to lives is extreme.

An expanded rapid assessment team was deployed to Binjari and Rockhole last night to help with the hard lockdown and begin the contact tracing work […] It is highly likely that more residents will be transferred to Howard Springs [quarantine camp] today, either as positive cases or close contacts.

We have already identified 38 close contacts in Binjari and that number will go up. They are being transferred now. We are grateful for the support of about 20 ADF [Australian Defence Force] personnel, as well as army trucks to assist with the transfer of positive cases and close contacts.

The area that Gunner has under his authoritarian leadership already has some of the strictest COVID-19 lockdown guidelines of anyone in the English-speaking world, with the left-wing Labor party leadership striking fear into the hearts of many.

According to Breitbart’s reporting, there are only five allowable reasons for leaving your home: buying food; exercising for up to two hours; caregiving; work; education. The publican called Gunner’s moves the “rapid escalation of bio-security totalitarianism.”

Reports have indicated that the groups being targeted the most vehemently are the indigenous Australians (otherwise known as Aborigines), who have been particularly unwilling to get the COVID-19 vaccination.

In addition to the violation of privacy and freedom, the incarcerated “covid-exposed” individuals are made to pay $2,500 per person for the full 14 day stay with a family rate of $5,000.

In his most recent statement an apparently angry Gunner made his opinion on those unwilling to get the vaccine and anyone who has the vaccine, but doesn’t believe it should be mandatory, saying, “If you are anti-mandate, you are absolutely anti-vax.”
