‘America’s Got Talent’ Singer Jan Marczewski dead at 31

“America’s Got Talent” contestant Jane Marczewski, also known as Nightbirde, passed away at the age of 31 following her battle with cancer.

The popular singer was known for receiving the 2021 golden buzzer after bringing judges to tears with her original song “It’s OK.”

She died on Feb. 19, according to a statement by her family to “Today.”

“We, her family, are devastated by her passing and unimaginable loss,” they wrote in a statement to TODAY. “Those who knew her enjoyed her larger-than-life personality and sense of humor. She had a witty joke for every occasion — even if the joke was on her,” they said.

“Her lasting legacy will be the gift of hope she gave to so many through her music and the strength she found in Jesus,” the statement concluded. “We thank everyone for their messages of love and support.”

The loss of the star ended her life far too early, but not before she inspired millions through her amazing voice and powerful story of overcoming adversity.
