Alyssa Farah Griffin believes the FBI has helped Trump with his potential 2024 run

The FBI raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property, according to former White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin on Tuesday, might be crucial to his success in the 2024 presidential race.

According to The Hill, Griffin expressed her hope that the investigation is more significant than just Trump breaking some archiving laws and that it is not the case that the Department of Justice (DOJ) “handed” Trump the Republican nomination and perhaps the upcoming presidential election. Griffin made her remarks during an appearance on CNN’s “New Day.”

“If it’s seen as some sort of massive overreach and not something incredibly serious, this is a very good day for Donald Trump,” she said.

One of President Trump’s sons, Eric Trump, claimed in an interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News that the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago on Monday in order to obtain papers that the National Archives had requested.

According to reports, the DOJ requested the National Archives investigate Trump’s management of papers earlier this year after Archives staff discovered 15 boxes that Trump was supposed to have supplied, some of which contained sensitive information.

Griffin warned that if the documents the FBI acquired contain information that is “essential to national security,” they may pose a “grave national security danger” if they were misused or made public.

She claimed that because Trump effectively broke the news of the FBI raid, he knows how to utilize it to his advantage. She also noted that Republican propaganda has consistently referred to the United States as a “banana republic.” She expressed her wish for a “buttoned-up” inquiry by the DOJ.
