Alec Baldwin’s family purchases 50-acre Vermont getaway

Alec Baldwin’s family has purchased a 50-acre location in Vermont that includes a historic farmhouse.

Breitbart News reported that Baldwin and his wife Hilaria visited the property last fall after the actor’s shooting incident on the film set of “Rust.”

“The Baldwins have ties to Vermont. Hilaria Baldwin’s grandfather, David Lloyd Thomas Sr., owned a home in Arlington, the newspaper said. He died on March 2, 2020, at 92,” the report noted.

Baldwin was sued last week by the family of Halyna Hutchins over the shooting incident that left her dead and injured the film’s director.

“There are many people culpable, but Mr. Baldwin was the person holding the weapon โ€ฆ that but for him shooting, she would not have died,” the lawyer said of the suit, which was filed in New Mexico, according to the New York Post.

“[Baldwin] has significant portion liability, but there are others, and that’s what this case is going to be about โ€” assessing fair apportionment to whoever’s responsible for the senseless tragedy,” the report added.

Baldwin has claimed he didn’t pull the trigger and that the gun went off accidentally.
