Activist David Hogg escorted out of congressional hearing after disrupting gun bill markup

David Hogg, best known as a gun control activist who made a name for himself following the 2018 mass shooting at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, caused a disruption during a congressional hearing Wednesday and was swiftly escorted out of the proceedings by authorities, as Fox News reports.

The incident occurred during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee in which members were engaged in a markup of a proposed assault weapons ban that would ban ownership of the majority of semi-automatic weapons, as the Daily Caller noted.

It was apparently a statement from Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) on human trafficking and drug cartels with which Hogg took exception, and that is when he launched into a strange outburst blasting what he referred to as the congressman’s “manifesto.”

“You’re repeating the points of mass shooters,” Hogg hollered, adding, “[t]he shooter at my high school, anti-Semitic, anti-Black, and racist” and also declaring “[t]hose guns are coming from the United States of America. They aren’t coming from Mexico.”

“You are reiterating the points of a mass shooter, sir. Sir you are perpetuating violence,” Hogg continued, as he was forcibly pulled out of the hearing room by a Capitol Police officer.

Appearing on Tucker Carlson Tonight later on Wednesday, Biggs blasted Hogg’s display, saying “[Hogg’s] saying that I am a terrorist manifesto-toting conspiracy nut, and the reality is he wants to get on TV, and he wanted to advocate for a nutty position, and…he interrupted our proceeding, and Democrats have said if you interrupt a proceeding that is the definition of insurrection.”

“He was invited there by the Democrats, that is what I’m informed, and so he is trying to grift on this whole thing, it looks like,” Biggs declared. “He should probably be brought up and charged. Where is that J-6 committee when you need them?”

Carlson had little use for Hogg’s theatrics either, referring to him as a “creepy little publicity seeker,” “low IQ Harvard student,” and a “self-righteous child who has no idea what he’s talking about.”

As the Daily Caller noted, the outlet’s attempts to elicit a comment from the U.S. Capitol Police on the matter did not bear fruit, and thus, it remains unclear how Hogg accessed the building, or whether he will face any criminal charges over his very public tantrum.

The words come just a week after California Democratic Rep. Judy Chu introduced the Women’s Health Protection Act to protect abortion access. The move marked a strong sign that Democrats won’t stop pressing abortion legislation.
In contrast, 13 states have trigger laws that further limited abortion after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Many other conservative states have also added new laws or are in the process of doing so as laws concerning abortion have been returned to individual states.
“Among those who said he shouldn’t run, the most common reason given was that ‘he’s a bad president’ (45%), followed by ‘he’s too old’ (30%), and ‘it’s time for a change’ (26%),” Mediaite reported.
“Just 28% either strongly or somewhat approve of his handling of inflation, while 32% approve of his handling of the economy overall,” it added.
Among the Democrats affiliated with the non-profit are Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar and Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
In every meaningful respect, AMP/AJP is nothing more than a disguised continuance of IAP/AMS — stripped of the burden of the Boim Judgement and the ignominy of having been found liable for aiding and abetting the murder of an American teenager,” a 2017 lawsuit
“AMP/AJP are the alter egos and successors of IAP/AMS, and are therefore liable for the unpaid portion of the Boim Judgement,” it added.
Among the Democrats affiliated with the non-profit are Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar and Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
The case involved the murder of David Boim, who was 17 when shot by members of Hamas in the West Bank in 1996.

The Biden administration wants an open border so criminals and terrorists can waltz right into the United States. So, of course, it loathes border security agents.
Wolf: On Sept. 19, 2021, photographers captured images of Border Patrol agents on horseback patrol trying to prevent illegal aliens from crossing the border near Del Rio, Texas. To any reasonable person, the photos showed Border Patrol agents controlling their horses in rough terrain while trying to prevent the rush of Haitian migrants from getting past them. The only thing “newsworthy” about these photos at the time should have been a visual confirmation of a border crisis driven by eight months of the new administration’s refusal to enforce immigration laws. Instead, the Biden administration jumped to politically convenient yet incorrect conclusions and vilified Border Patrol agents for doing their job.
In lockstep with the mainstream media, the Biden administration immediately amplified a lie that the Border Patrol agents were whipping the illegal aliens. President Joe Biden said, “It’s horrible what you saw. To see people like they did, with horses, running them over, people being strapped, it’s outrageous.”
